What To Do In Nashville, TN

If you’ve been keeping up with me, you’ll know that I went to Nashville with my bestie Sasha. Isn’t she so cute?

In a previous post, I highlighted some of the murals around the city. Now, I’ll be putting in my two cents about where to go and what to eat.

Nashville is definitely a driving town with neighborhood clusters spread around. Luckily, we had a car and got to explore just about all of the city. The neighborhoods we liked most were East Nashville, Hillsboro Village, and 12 South. Other notable places are Lower Broadway, Centennial Park, and The Gulch.

I was struck by how much green space there is in Nashville. Everywhere we turned, there were people taking their dogs for walks. One of the biggest examples of this is Centennial Park. We spent part of an afternoon there, walking around and visiting their full-size replica of the Parthenon. We decided against taking the tour, but it was a cool to walk around and see from the outside, too.IMG_3558

When comprising a list of places to go in Nashville, I was reminded just how much food we ate! Sasha and I basically lived to eat the whole trip. Our favorite stops were:

  • Pinewood Social
  • Mas Tacos Por Favor
  • The Pharmacy Burger (we sat at the same table as Thomas Rhett and his then-pregnant wife Lauren)
  • Hattie B’s Chicken
  • Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream
  • Barista Parlor
  • Crema Coffee
  • Frothy Monkey (a treehouse-looking coffee shop)
  • Las Paletas Gourmet Popsicles (we went twice)
  • Biscuit Love
  • Five Daughter’s Bakery
  • Saint Añejo Cantina (I can’t speak for the food because we just ordered margaritas there, but it was a fun spot)
  • IMG_3471IMG_3645

When it comes to shopping, I followed Sasha’s lead. She’s an avid thrifter and came prepared with a list of places she wanted to go. Lots of the thrift and vintage shops are in East Nashville, a quaint artistic stretch of town. We ended up there twice and one of the trips was during their huge Tomato Art Festival. We also found this cool vintage car there that just so happened to match my look 😉IMG_3537IMG_3538

My favorite stores were in the 12 South and Hillsboro Village neighborhoods. Our favorites were:

  • White’s Mercantile
  • Draper James (I bought a shirt there)
  • Hey Rooster General Store
  • Pangaea
  • Imogene and Willie
  • Local Honey

As far as super touristy stuff, we went to The Country Music Hall of Fame and walked around Lower Broadway one afternoon. Lower Broadway is the stretch of street people think of when they think of Nashville. It’s full of honky tonks and boot shops. We poked around in the shops looking at all the leather goods, but we didn’t end up going in any of the bars. But you can definitely hear the live music loud and clear from the street! It was loud and really hot, so we only lasted about an hour on Broadway.

But I was mostly interested in eating all the food and obsessing over Amelia’s Flower Truck. I don’t even have the words to explain how cute this is in person. There are actually 3 trucks that drive around and park around town for people to buy cut flowers. I had to pose with one this day since I matched with the sunflowers on board.

Thanks for reading!

Nashville Murals

Hey y’all! I’ve been MIA the past month on here, but that is about to change. My favorite season is fall, and I plan on hitting the ground running with fun content starting NOW. I don’t have an exact schedule set yet, but I should be posting a lot more. I have a lot of ideas for things to do coming up, and I’m really looking forward to adventuring and posting about it. So without further ado, here’s my first post back!

At the beginning of this month, I went with my best friend to Nashville Tennessee. This is the first of two posts about our trip. This one is going to be almost entirely a photo gallery, while the other will be a list of thing to do in Nashville.
